JEE Main Session 2 Answer Key 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the JEE Main Session 2 Answer Key 2026 today, April 11, 2026. Along with the provisional answer key, the NTA has also uploaded the candidates’ recorded responses (Response Sheet). This is a latest update for all engineering candidates who appeared for the Session 2 exams in April, as it allows them to cross-check their answers and calculate their estimated scores before the final results are declared. The window to raise objections against the provisional answer key is now open from 11 Apr 2026 to 13 Apr 2026 (till 11:50PM).

How to Check JEE Main Session 2 Answer Key 2026

  1. Visit the official NTA JEE portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  2. On the homepage, click on the link titled “JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 Answer Key Challenge”.
  3. Choose your login method: Application Number & Password OR Application Number & Date of Birth.
  4. Enter your credentials and the security pin, then click on Login.
  5. On the dashboard, you will see two options: “View Question Paper” (to see your response sheet) and “Click to View/Challenge Answer Key”.
  6. Compare your marked answers with the correct options provided in the key.
  7. Download the PDF of both the key and your responses for your reference.

Marking Scheme for Score Calculation

To calculate your probable raw score, use the following official marking criteria:

  • Correct Answer: +4 Marks
  • Incorrect Answer: -1 Mark (Negative Marking)
  • Unattempted Question: 0 Marks

How to Raise Objections/Challenges

If you find any discrepancies in the provisional answer key, you can submit a challenge by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the portal and select the “Challenge Answer Key” option.
  2. The Question IDs will be displayed in sequential order.
  3. The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option’ is the one used by NTA.
  4. If you wish to challenge, use the check boxes next to the IDs you think are correct.
  5. Upload supporting documents in a single PDF file to justify your claim.
  6. Click on ‘Save your Claim’ and pay the non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question.

1. What is the last date to challenge the JEE Main 2026 answer key?

Candidates can submit their challenges online until April 13, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. No requests will be entertained after this deadline.

2. Is the answer key challenge fee refundable if my objection is correct?

No, as per the latest NTA guidelines, the processing fee of ₹200 per challenged question is non-refundable, regardless of whether the challenge is accepted or rejected.
